When are you open?
Usually from April to November but this is up to the weather. When the last sign of snow is gone then we go foot out, flat out!
Do you have mountain bike guides?
Yes, a MIAS certified instructor and guide will be with you on the trails making sure you are safely enjoying your ride.
Which bike should I bring with me?
If you are one of those hardcore HT riders, then bring your hardtail. However, the trails around here are mostly suited for All Mountain FS bikes.
What is the level of difficulty of Velvet Trails?
There are a wide variety of trails, ranging from easy to demanding ones, very steep to flat. All routes are tailored to your taste and experience level.
Do you have any spare parts in case of repairs?
There is a fully equipped service spot in our lodge and we can provide you with all the essential spare tires, brake pads, grips, tubes, etc. that you may need.
How can I book and pay for my stay?
Feel free to contact us either by e-mail or phone and we can provide you with all the information you need regarding available dates to book and our bank account details for making reservations.
What kinds of meals do you offer?
The price for your stay includes both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast consists of eggs, bacon, beans, etc. There is also a selection of bread, croissants, jams, cereal, locally-grown fresh organic fruit. Dinner is an always-changing single course meal. However, barbeques are very common.
Should I have insurance?
You must have insurance for your own safety. We offer insurance packages for the days you will be riding with us at an extra cost, but we prefer it if you are already insured.
Do I have to bring my own bike?
Yes, we do not provide bikes for your trip. However, you don’t need to worry about tools or spare parts as our lodge is fully equipped with them.
